Wood Craft / Butter paddles

Butter paddles

Butter paddles have no long tradition. They became common in the fifties and were mostly made from juniper. Today wooden butter knives are very common and are made from both juniper and various hardwoods. Carving butter paddles is good practice for beginner wood carvers, and the end product is one of obvious use.
